Loving Brother and Sister - Kind of

This morning we had a yard sale at our house. By 9 o'clock a whole 3 people had stopped by for a grand total of $14. So we decided to call it a day and try again next week. Between now and then we're going to try to advertise a little more so hopefully we'll have a better turn out. But we've still had a really fun morning despite the part about being up way too early. Now we're just waiting on the grandparents (Jon's parents) to get here. They're staying and visiting with us until tomorrow. Here's a little peek into our morning!

Sorry about the bad quality pictures. We used the digital camera that we normally take videos with (not our video camera) because the nice camera didn't have the memory card in it, and we were in a hurry to get these taken.

Right before this picture we told Asher to kiss Lorelai, but of course he kissed her too fast for us to catch it on camera so we decided to say "1, 2, 3" to get the timing right. Unfortunately we didn't think beforehand about how "1, 2, 3" is what Asher likes to say right before he tumbles onto something or onto someone. This is what happened after "1, 2, 3."

Lorelai was not happy.

Yikes! It's been too long!

It's been such a long time since I've posted (almost a month, I think!), but I'm back. Some of you know we've had a lot going in our lives lately. Things are stressful yet exciting. If you think about it please keep our family in your prayers as our faith is tested during this time and we learn to depend on God more. Also, please pray for guidance. Thanks!

In other news the kids are doing great! Asher is still his crazy, wild self. Two year olds really are a lot of fun! He's talking non-stop still and has learned to read some of his letters and numbers. He can say all of his numbers and letters, but we're learning to read them all right now. It's so much fun to see him learn new things everyday! He also loves to dance. I like watching So You Think You Can Dance, and as you can see Asher enjoys it too!

Lorelai is also learning so much! She is sitting up, army crawling perfectly, learning to crawl on all fours (she can only go so far this way), and pulling up to a stand. Last night was the first night she pulled up in her crib, and I'm so glad we checked on her at bedtime to see her doing it. We decided right then that it was time to lower the mattress. I can't believe it's already time for this! She's still tiny (only 15 pounds) so she looks pretty funny sometimes doing these things to me. She just seems too small to be doing such "big girl" things. Or maybe it's simply because I still think of her as my baby. Either way she's growing up so fast!
